Buyer needs consultation

Before we show you anything, we sit down and work out what actually has to work: the commute, the yard, the storage, the noise.

Takes
30 to 45 min, in person or by phone

Most buyers get shown a list before anyone asks a real question. We do it the other way. A short, plain conversation, sometimes over a kitchen table with nothing on it but a few everyday objects to talk around, gets to what actually matters: room to work on a bike or a project, a yard safe enough for a dog or a toddler, storage that is not a fantasy, a street quiet enough to sleep on. From that we build a shortlist, including homes that are not yet advertised.

What is included

  • A plain-language conversation about how you actually live, not a checklist form
  • A written shortlist matched to what you told us, not what is easiest to show
  • Early notice on off-market and pre-list opportunities where we have them
  • No pressure to inspect anything that does not fit the shortlist
A timber floor meeting a painted door threshold
The kind of detail that comes up at the kitchen table: a floor meeting a door threshold, and what it means for the settlement date.

02How it runs

Step by step, in this order

Typical time: 30 to 45 min, in person or by phone. You are told which step you are on.

  1. 01 Book a consultation in person or by phone, thirty minutes is usually enough
  2. 02 Talk through daily life, not just bedrooms and bathrooms
  3. 03 Build a shortlist from current listings and anything coming up
  4. 04 Arrange private inspections or open home times for the shortlist
  5. 05 Revisit the shortlist together after the first few inspections

03Asked often

Before you book

Not here? It might be on the FAQ page, and if not, ring and ask.

Does it cost anything to use Anchorage as a buyer?

No. You never pay us a fee to help you find or inspect a home. Our commission comes from the seller when a sale settles.

What if what I want does not exist on the peninsula right now?

We say so, honestly, rather than showing you homes that miss the point just to keep you moving. We will keep your shortlist live and call when something fits.

Can I do this before I am approved for finance?

Yes, and it usually helps to talk to us first, because the shortlist can shape what you actually go and get approved for.
